The James Woody Hatten & Camp Sealth Summer of 64' Gift of Sailing Sponsorship
The James Woody Hatten & Camp Sealth Summer of 64' Gift of Sailing Sponsorship
Girls Maritime Summer Camp Sponsorships - offered by BoatShop Supporter Jamie Hatten to honor her father James and the Gift of Boating he passed to his daughter as well as to honor her experience as a Campfire Girl at Camp Sealth during the summer of 1964. James instilled confidence and capability in Jamie from a young age, handing her the wheel and the Captains hat telling her "You are the captain of your own boat.. and the captain of your own life!". Jamie carried this confidence and capability into Campfire Girls sailing camp at age 14 and again at age 16 when her father gave her HER OWN 19ft Lightning daysailer to Captain for her life of sailing ahead! That's when he said,"You are never too young to learn to sail or to own your OWN boat! It is the BoatShops privilege to help Jamie carry on the legacy of her father James and honor her experiences as a Campfire Girl through her sponsorship of our Maritime Adventurers for Girls Summer Camp.
