News item 01-28-10: A classic, 26' Gig Harbor-built tugboat, donated by Kim Wailes, is lifted from Kim's property onto a cradle on the trailer. The tug was then
hauled to the boatshop and the boat, cradle and all, was again lifted from the trailer to the boatshop entry where it was slowly coaxed into the big boat shop. The
tug will be used in future vessel programming.
Many thanks to Herb Cook of Cook's Concrete for the temporary use of their dump truck, flatbed trailer and speader bar. And thanks to Terry Galligan for delivering it and operating all the heavy
equipment. Thanks also to Jim Dunn and Fastco for fastenings for the cradle, to Joe Neal for the cradle timbers, Rick Bennet and United Rentals for the use of their boom truck.
And we don't want to forget to thank all our GHB volunteers, Matt, Bill, Dave, Frank, Tim, and Andy for all their help on this project.

News item 11-24-09: T-Bird #2 Pirouette is back in the boatshop after some 50 years. John McMillan
and Jaime Storkman remove parts and pieces in preparation for the thorough assessment required to develop a restoration plan.

News item 11-24-09: T-Bird #2 Pirouette is lifted off the trailer and onto its cradle. Lifting was accomplished with
the kind assistance of the Peninsula Light Comapny. The boat then is hand-winched, skidded, and coaxed slowly into the Eddon Building. Many thanks to all!

News item 09-30-09: The grand Eddon Open House was well attended. The event was co-sponsored by the city of Gig Harbor and
Gig Harbor BoatShop. Shown in the picture is (L to R) city historical preservationist, Lita Dawn Stanton, Mayor Chuck Hunter and
GHB boardmember, Gene Pearson. Behind them are John Phillips, Bob Winskill and Jaime Storkman inspecting the newly purchased T-Bird #2
which is slated for upcoming vessel programming. Thanks to all that organized this effort.
